Carson: (talking to Audience) You all remember the Fletch series?... with Chevy Chase, which were awesome. (audience cheers) And Kevin Smith is gonna direct it and you are gonna be in it? Would you play Chevy Chase, are you gonna play Fletch?  
Jason: Yeah, it'll be the first. Fletch Won. W-O-N. The first book, so it'll be the younger Fletch. So Kevin does wanna adapt it and direct me as the younger Fletch. So...but it's hard. Again, there are compromises I have to make not being the guy who's ultra willing to be "Famous Guy" because sometimes studios don't consider guys like me very bankable. So they think....He's funny, he's got a big following with Kevin fans and stuff, but could he carry a movie - can we waste that kind of money?  

Carson: That's a shame that that's their checklist. would the movie Fletch be a big studio film?  
Jason: Yeah, it would be.  

Carson: Is it like a Scooby Doo type of thing?  
Jason: Noooooo...Well, I would hope not.  

Carson: And you are a big Fletch fan. I was a huge Fletch fan in College.  
Jason: Yeah, I love Chevy Chase so much, man.  

Carson: He's the best.  
Jason: God I LOVE Comedies so much...the Jerk is like one of the greatest films of all time.  

Carson: Yeah, and who else besides you could play Fletch?  
Jason: (playing to the audience) I don't know, I guess I'd be the only one, huh? ( BIG Lee smile as the audiance goes wild)  

Carson: Have you spoken to Chevy Chase at all?  
Jason: No, I don't know, That'd be a little intimidating.  

Carson: Is that something you'd like to do?  
Jason: Yeah, I'd LOVE to meet him, but you never know with the old comedians, are they like (doing an old, angry voice) "Ahhrrrrr, I used to be funny"  

Carson: Hahah, yeah, but Chevy's still funny.  
Jason: Yeah, Chevy's amazing.
